Courses Offered L1 Award in Food Safety for Catering Aimed at those new to the catering/manufacturing/retail workplace who require a simple training course in the subject to keep them and those around them safe, when starting work or as part of an induction programme. For example, school leavers taking their first job or those with special needs.
L2 Award in Food Safety for Manufacturing/Catering/Retail
Safety training for people in the catering/manufacturing/retail workplace who participate in related activities. The qualification equates to the ‘foundation’ or ‘basic’ qualification.For example, front line catering, production and shop floor employees. Refresher courses are available for this level
L3 Award in Food Safety for Food Safety Supervision for Manufacturing/Catering/Retail Aimed at those in the catering/manufacturing/retail workplace who require safety training courses in activities to their work role and who also have a related supervisory role. The qualification equates to the intermediate qualification. For example, team leaders, supervisors and junior managers. Refresher courses are available for this level
L4 Award in Food Safety Management for Manufacturing/Catering Aimed at those in the catering/manufacturing/retail workplace who participate in activities related to the subject area and who also have a related management and/or training role. The qualification equates to the advanced qualification.For example, senior supervisors, departmental managers and operations managers with responsibility for multiple sites.
